"To live would be an awfully big adventure." -Peter Pan

Today was the first day of our Peter Pan summer camp, Swashbuckling Summer Adventure, led by Encore! directors/founders, Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker. Thirty talented kids and teens age 8-18 have embarked on a 3-week adventure to learn what it takes to produce a full-scale theatre production. Keep reading to learn about the fun experience the kids had today!

When you get a group of theatre kids together, there's bound to be laughs and bouts of silliness. What better way to kick off the first day of camp than with a photo booth?

The students enjoyed some games and ice breakers, and we discussed the qualities of an awesome actor: Talented. Hard-working. Team Player. Passionate. Humble. Focused. Dedicated. Positive Attitude.

Finally, we jumped right into an audition workshop to prepare students for tomorrow's auditions. Each student will audition for and receive a role in our upcoming production of Peter Pan. The show runs July 24-25 at Tulsa Little Theatre, and tickets are already on sale. You won't want tot miss this swashbuckling adventure, so click here to buy your tickets now!
