General Summer Camp Information:
- All classes are taught by Encore! founders/directors, Joshua Branson Barker and Mindy Barker, who are professional actors/directors/writers in the entertainment industry. They have performed in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and across the midwest on such films/tv shows as Pretty Little Liars, Mad Men, Jersey Boys, Parks and Recreation, Scandal, Criminal Minds, and many others as well as performed/directed 70+ theatre productions. - Some camps end with a performance. Students who attend all days of camp and adequately prepare performance material are invited to perform in a showcase on the Saturday evening following the last day of the camp.
- Classes are held at Tulsa Little Theatre: 1511 S. Delaware Ave. in Tulsa.

Film Production Camp: Let's Make a Music Video!
Age 7-11 & 12-18* / July 24-28, 2017 | 10:00am-12:00pm*Campers age 12-18 will have the option to also work crew for the camp's music video, learning the various behind-the-scenes roles on a film set

Description: Do you love music, acting, and dancing? Don't worry, no singing is required! Students will choose a song on the first day of camp, then spend the week rehearsing and filming a professional-quality lip-dub music video. Students will learn the fundamentals of working on a live film set as well as acting/dancing on-camera. Or, they can elect to work behind-the-scenes and learn various crew positions, including director, production assistant, script supervisor, hair & makeup, choreography, and more. This camp does not end in a live performance, but the students' music video will premiere at our Play & Film Festival on Saturday, August 6. Each student will receive a free ticket to attend and watch their music video on the big screen!
Improv & Sketch Comedy Boot Camp

Description: Think you're the next Jimmy Fallon, Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, or Kristen Wiig? Here's your chance to exercise your funny bone! Actors will spend a week studying and practicing the complex art forms of comedy, improv, sketch, and stand-up. The class will write, host, and perform their own variety show in the style of Saturday Night Live, to be presented on Saturday, July 29. Note that this is called a BOOT CAMP for a reason, so only enroll if you at least have basic theatre training and you're ready for a kick-butt comedy experience! You WILL work hard, but you also WILL laugh and make awesome new friends!

Fantasy Adventure: A Lost Pages Experience

Description: Fan of the Lost Pages book/play series? Or perhaps you just love fairy tales, sword fights, magical beasts, dancing, and a good laugh. Either way, you will love this summer adventure. Students will celebrate their love of theatre with monologues, scenes, and improv games that feature a silly, unique twist on classic fairy tale characters. With workshop sessions like stage combat, improv, and dance, boys and girls of all ages will enjoy learning experiences, team-building exercises, new friendships, and more. Throughout the week, each student will rehearse a monologue featuring a twist on their favorite fairy tale character to perform in the camp showcase on Saturday, June 10.
BONUS! Special guest, Katie Thomas of Superior Scales Reptiles, is excited to bring the kingdom's most magical creatures to camp! We will have one day devoted to a hands-on learning experience about these LIVE animals that have been featured in Encore's stage productions.

Writing/Directing: Fairy Tales with a Twist
Age 12-18 / June 5-9, 2017 | 10:00am-12:00pm
Description: Do you love comedy, fairy tales, and creating your own stories? Or maybe you love working with and motivating actors who bring your artistic visions to life? You will love this camp! Students in this camp will serve as writers/directors for our Fantasy Adventure camp. Students who choose to be a writer will select a fairy tale character and create a fun, new twist on that character to write a monologue/scene that will be performed at Saturday's showcase. Students who choose to be a director will take the scripts from the writers, then collaborate with the actors to bring this new character to life. Both writers and directors will learn the fundamentals of storytelling, team work, and communication as they learn how to motivate and inspire their actors to give a fantastic performance.

Description: This camp is for students who at least have basic theatre training and are ready for the challenge: To rehearse and perform a comedic one-act play in only one week! Students will spend the week studying character development, comedic timing, stage presence, and more, then apply those skills in rehearsal for the camp's comedic one-act play. Every student receives a role based on current training/credits/ability and will perform in the play on Saturday, June 10. Note that this is called a BOOT CAMP for a reason, so only enroll if you at least have basic theatre training and you're ready for a kick-butt comedy experience!
